Yesterday, a meeting was held at the Center for Missing and Exploited Children with representatives from the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia to discuss the introduction of the ‘Find Me’ system in the region.
The Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia presented how the ‘Find Me’ system operates in Serbia, providing a detailed overview of best practices and software solutions developed to ensure the system’s successful implementation.
Earlier, in March of this year, a meeting was also held with representatives from the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Srpska, who have also taken significant steps toward implementing this system.
The President of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Igor Jurić, praised the initiative of regional countries to extend the ‘Find Me’ system beyond Serbia’s borders.
This meeting, along with the one we held in March with the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Srpska, demonstrates the commitment of all involved parties to work toward a common goal—better protection of children. Regional coverage, or the implementation of the “Find Me” system in neighboring countries, would allow us to respond more quickly in crisis situations and potentially save the lives of children at risk,’ Jurić stated.
Currently, the next steps for implementing the system in other countries are awaited. This meeting indicates that there is significant interest and willingness for collaboration.
