A Professional Approach Against Peer Violence is a program focused on preventing peer violence by strengthening professional capacities, developing modern educational tools, and raising public awareness of this socially significant issue. The goal of the program was to improve the knowledge and skills of professionals in social welfare and education in providing psychosocial support to children and youth involved in peer violence, while promoting an empathetic and non-discriminatory approach in working with victims and participants of violence.
During the implementation of the program, the second phase of developing a software tool for educating professionals about peer violence and prevention measures was carried out, with the active involvement of a social worker, a special educator, and external programmers. The tool was tested and improved through continuous cooperation between the professional and technical teams. Upon completion, a public panel discussion was organized where the software tool was presented to professionals from various institutions, enabling the exchange of experiences and collection of recommendations for further development. The program was additionally supported by a social media campaign and the publication of educational content, significantly contributing to raising public awareness about peer violence.
The project “A Professional Approach Against Peer Violence” was implemented by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children from September 12 to November 30, 2025, with the support of the Republic of Serbia – Cabinet of the Minister without Portfolio responsible for coordinating activities in the field of gender equality, prevention of violence against women, and economic and political empowerment of women.
