Get Involved! is a project focused on providing support to children and youth in conflict with their family, school, or community through day care services and strengthening the professional capacities of experts working with this target group. The project aimed to improve the quality of social welfare services, strengthen cooperation among relevant institutions, and provide children and youth with a safe and stimulating environment for development and learning.
Within the project, preparatory activities were successfully carried out as a foundation for establishing and implementing day care services. A key activity was a professional training held on December 3, 2025, at the premises of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, delivered by program author Nada Šarac. The training covered topics related to drafting expert findings and opinions in criminal proceedings involving juveniles and contributed to strengthening professional competencies in social protection and intersectoral cooperation. A total of 24 professionals from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Children’s Village, the Novi Sad Center for Social Work, and other civil society organizations participated in the training.
In addition to the training, informational and promotional materials about the program were developed in the form of brochures intended for children, youth, parents, and professionals, as well as an online presentation of the service enabling easy access to information on the program, eligibility criteria, and referral procedures. These activities created the preconditions for the provision of high-quality, standardized, and visible day care services for the target group.
The project “Get Involved!” was implemented by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children from October 1 to December 31, 2025, with the support of the Provincial Secretariat for Social Policy, Demography and Gender Equality.
