The project “Social Support Through Education and Volunteering” was aimed at improving the support system for children and youth with behavioral problems by strengthening professional and volunteer capacities. The goal of the program was to develop higher-quality social welfare services, empower professional staff, and engage young volunteers in working with children at risk.
During the implementation of the program, a professional training was conducted for employees and volunteers, enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of 19 professionals and 7 student volunteers involved in the work of the Day Care Center for children and youth in conflict with the law, family, school, or community. One of the key outcomes of the program was the development of a professional manual for employees and volunteers, which serves as a long-term resource for improving practice in the field of social welfare. A special contribution was achieved through the promotion of volunteering and the transfer of experiences of young volunteers within the community.
The project “Social Support Through Education and Volunteering” was implemented by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children from February to March 2025, with the support of the City of Novi Sad – City Administration for Social and Child Protection.
