Strength of the Family – Empowering Parents and Children to Build Trust and Ensure Safe Growing Up is a project aimed at strengthening family relationships and improving children’s well-being through education, development of communication and social skills, and raising awareness of the importance of a safe and healthy environment for growing up. The project was intended for parents and children aged 7 to 10, with a special focus on building mutual trust, understanding, and support within the family.
During the project implementation, a series of activities were carried out to empower parents and children. A short educational film on the prevention of digital violence against children was produced, providing parents with guidance on recognizing risks and strengthening trust-based relationships with their children. Educational workshops were held for parents and children, where parents improved their knowledge of positive parenting, non-violent communication, and responses to peer and digital violence, while children developed empathy, tolerance, and safe behavior skills in the digital environment through interactive methods. The program was enriched with outdoor sports activities and creative workshops, which further strengthened family cohesion, cooperation, and a sense of togetherness through joint activities, play, and teamwork.
As a result of the project, family communication was improved, awareness of peer and digital violence prevention was increased, and parents were empowered to apply positive parenting approaches and protect children in the online environment. A more supportive and safer family atmosphere was created through joint activities, while the educational film remains a lasting resource for further work with parents and children.
The project “Strength of the Family – Empowering Parents and Children to Build Trust and Ensure Safe Growing Up” was implemented by the Center for Missing and Exploited Children from July 1 to September 30, 2025, with the support of the Ministry of Family Care and Demography.
