Report from the Annual Meeting of INHOPE Network Members – Amsterdam, June 2025

The first annual meeting of the international INHOPE network was held in Amsterdam from June 17 to 18, 2025, bringing together representatives from 55 hotline organizations from around the world. The main topics of the meeting included the continued strategic development of the network, financial sustainability, enhancement of operational priorities, and collaboration among member organizations.

Throughout the two-day event, plenary sessions and interactive workshops were held in smaller groups, focusing on risk management, fundraising strategies, partnership evaluation, and the exchange of best practices. Members had the opportunity to share their local experiences, challenges, and opportunities, with a strong emphasis on the importance of cultural sensitivity and recognizing shared goals.

During the General Assembly on the second day, key decisions were made regarding the future operations of the network and the Secretariat. In this context:

  • The Action Against Child Sexual Abuse Initiative (ACSAI) from Nigeria was officially accepted as a full member of INHOPE.

  • INHOPE also welcomed two new provisional members: Autoriteit online Terroristisch en Kinderpornografisch Materiaal (ATKM), making the Netherlands the first country with two national hotlines, and Agència Nacional de Ciberseguretat (ANC-AD) / CSIRT-AD from Andorra.
With these additions, the INHOPE network now consists of 57 hotline organizations across 52 countries.

At this meeting, our center presented the Amigo project, which has been recognized as one of the key directions for the long-term sustainability of our organization. The project drew considerable attention and positive feedback from other member organizations, serving as an example of an innovative and socially impactful approach.

Participants were also informed about the upcoming initiatives and legal reforms planned by the European Commission and other relevant European institutions aimed at strengthening child protection online. It was particularly emphasized that the volume of child sexual abuse material continues to rise, underscoring the urgent need for more intensive efforts in developing detection and removal tools, as well as preventive actions through education, public campaigns, and cooperation with digital platforms.

In conclusion, this gathering proved to be extremely valuable for the continuation of our work, both through direct knowledge exchange with colleagues from around the world and as further confirmation that our efforts are recognized and respected at the international level. In the coming period, our team will continue to strengthen our activities, deepen our cooperation within the INHOPE network, and further develop sustainable projects focused on improving child online safety.
