The Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Ministry of Education team held a meeting, during which Minister Prof. Dr. Slavica Đukić Dejanović discussed the goals and activity plan for the upcoming period with the Center’s expert team.

‘The Minister expressed a willingness and readiness to support us,’ stated Igor Jurić. ‘This collaboration will enhance the credibility of our work in schools and provide support for our research, which is crucial for effective prevention and protection of children.’

The meeting highlighted the Center’s ongoing commitment to child safety and the education of professionals, parents, and guardians. The President and founder of the Center emphasized the need to formalize cooperation, similar to the existing Memorandums of Understanding with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Sports, Ministry of Information and Telecommunications, and Ministry of Tourism and Youth.

Minister Prof. Dr. Slavica Đukić Dejanović stated that child safety is a strategic priority for the Ministry of Education, leading to legislative changes and improvements in preventive work in educational institutions.

‘Therefore, it is important to have synergistic actions between the Ministry, international organizations, and civil society organizations on this crucial task,’ she said.

The Minister particularly expressed interest in the Center’s work within the ‘Net Patrol,’ which detects digital violence, and suggested that the link be made available through the ‘Čuvam te’ platform, which she deemed extremely important for students, school staff, and parents.

The Center for Missing and Exploited Children has been working for years on violence and abuse prevention, providing support to children and parents, and educating professionals who work with children.
