Eneid Hasanović, a representative from the Ministry of Interior of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the coordinator for the establishment of the Amber Alert system on behalf of the Federal Police Administration, visited the Center for Missing and Exploited Children today. A meeting was held to discuss the introduction of the Amber Alert system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the meeting, Igor Jurić, President of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, provided a detailed overview of how the ‘Find Me’ system operates in Serbia, which was developed based on the Amber Alert model.

During the discussion, the representative from the Ministry of Interior of Bosnia and Herzegovina was briefed on key aspects of the system, including the criteria for activating the alert, the technological platforms used, and the responsibilities of media and other advertisers. He also learned about the collaboration between the Center, as an NGO, and the police. Igor Jurić shared significant experiences of the Center related to the system’s implementation, as well as the challenges faced along the way. Mr. Hasanović expressed interest and a strong willingness to work on introducing such a system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also agreed with the President of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children that establishing such a system would significantly contribute to faster recovery of missing children and enhance their safety.
